Leslie Harris Blog bio picture
  • Hello & Welcome

I have always treasured pictures but I did not fully grasp the meaning of a photo ~ the power of a picture ~ the importance of the ability to remember ~ until , my oldest daughter, Kylee, was killed the day after Thanksgiving in a car accident. In order to cope, I needed something that I could pour my heart into and photography became my vessel. My heart overflows with gratitude for every single picture I took of her. I hope that each one of you can learn from my experience....It is my mission to help you REMEMBER.

Camille Castleberry | Bryan College Station Photographer

I had such a fun time with Camille and her mother:)  It has been my priveledge to know this sweet family for several years now.  Camille’s Dad, Brother Castleberry, is the pastor of Victory Church in College Station.  If you are ever in the area and are looking for a church, give them a visit ~ www.victoryupc.com  Sister Castleberry brought three of the balloons but one ended up losing its helium…but I think the two were plenty large:)  Thank you for letting me in on this precious time in your lives…I know her 16th birthday will be just as sweet as both of these ladies.

Ellie Clare Manning | Bryan College Station Newborn Photographer

Miss Ellie Clare was born on November 21, 2011 at 3:15, weighed 7lbs 3ozs and was 20 inches long.  This is Sam and Chelsea (Hotzen) Manning’s first little one and she planned to have her at home with the help of her midwife, Erin.  The baby’s head was not turned properly and her heart rate wasn’t where it needed to be so they had to head to the hospital.  I asked Chelsea what was the hardest part about delivering Ellie all natural and she said the hardest was not being able to push on the drive to Bryan.  Little Ellie arrived after being at the hospital for about 20 minutes.  I asked Chelsea was she disappointed that she did not get to have her at home and she said no that it was nice to get to experience both.  She said one good thing about the hospital was the doctor that she ended up getting really believed in natural births….his wife had actually had all of their kids at home so there was no pressure to go the typical route.  Chelsea said that the main thing that helped her was staying focused and calm.  This sweet little family is off to a wonderful start and it was such an honor to capture Miss Ellie’s first portraits:)
